Electronic Devices.

This lab was established in1996 along with the establishment of the College of Engineering and Petroleum. It is considered one of the most important labs of the departments of Electronic Engineering & Communications, and Computer Engineering, because it introduces the students to electronic elements, how to connect electrical and electronic circuits, methods of measurement of current and voltage, use of oscilloscope and generator function. It also introduces them to  the calculation of the values of electronic elements such as (resistance – capacitor – file – diode – transistor).

In this laboratory, some experiments are applied such as: the Ohm’s Law, the Kirchhoff’s theorem, parallelism and sequential coupling, Thevenin’s theorem, accumulation theory, uniform half-wave, full wave uniform, and a wide range of experiments in electrical and electronic circuits.

This lab was established in 1996 along with the establishment of the College of Engineering and Petroleum. It is one of the most important labs of the departments of Electronic Engineering & Communications, and Computer Engineering, because it introduces the students to: electronic elements, digital logic gates and their components, and how to connect digital circuits.

A number of experiments are applied in this Lab including the application of digital gates, counter work, and the work of the registrar.

Antennas & Microwave

Antennas.

Microwave Communication.

The lab consists of two sections. The first section is for antennas. It consists of one unit: the transmitter and receiver operating at a frequency of 430 MHz in addition to some large / small antennas. Those devices are connected to the computer via a compatible device.

The second section is the microwave, which consists of four bags each bag contains tools for microwave experiments. These experiments are related to how to transfer the signal from the transmitter to the receiver by moving them in waveguide, how to measure SWR, and try to reduce them until the maximum amount of signal is transferred without significant loss.

The microwave frequency starts from 300MHz to 300 GHz.

The frequency used is from 8.5 GHz to 9.5 GHz.
