The Prophetic Guidance of Reminding People of the Hereafter And Its Impact on Preserving the Five Essentials

Abstract

This research aims to demonstrate the impact of the Prophetic guidance based on reminding people of the Hereafter and its application in preserving the five essentials: religion, life, intellect, lineage, and wealth. Moreover, it seeks to reveal how this guidance is employed in strengthening the preservation of these essentials, both in their existence and their absence, while demonstrating its contribution to addressing deviant behaviors resulting from transgressing them. The researcher adopted an inductive-analytical approach, tracing the Prophetic texts in the Sunnah related to reminding people of the Hereafter, analyzing their intended and educational implications, and linking them to the impact of belief in the Hereafter on regulating individual and collective behavior. This study concluded with several findings, most notably that reminding people of the Hereafter constitutes a fundamental pillar in the Prophetic guidance for achieving the preservation of the five essentials. It has contributed to addressing deviant behaviors, achieving societal stability, and safeguarding the essential interests upon which people's lives in this world and the Hereafter depend. The researcher recommended, through this study, the necessity of activating the Prophetic guidance of reminding people of the Day of Judgment in da'wah, educational, and media discourse, and linking it to contemporary behavioral and social issues. This is due to its profound impact on consolidating Islamic values and ethics and protecting society from various forms of deviance, thus contributing to the preservation of these fundamental principles in both their existence and non-existence.
