The General Union of HU Students held student elections in all colleges of administrative sciences, sciences and education in Mukalla,al-Ghaila complex, the college of education in Socotra, and the colleges of education and applied sciences in al-Mahra in the presence of the deans and their deputies and representatives of the office of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor. The student elections witnessed a large turnout of male and female students to choose representatives of the student councils and the General Union. More than 10,000 students from all colleges of the university participate in these elections in a secret ballot process
Mr. Ahmed Awad Bagbir, President of the General Union of HU Students, explained that the electoral process and the screening process were completed in some colleges in the presence of the committee assigned by the Social Affairs and Labor, noting that the elections took place in all colleges in a good and orderly manner. He also expressed thanks and appreciation to the leadership of the General Union of University Students for the leadership of the university represented by Prof Muhammad Saeed Khanbash, President of the University, the Deputy President for Student Affairs, the Deans of the colleges and the Supervising Committee for their contribution to the success of the student democratic wedding, wishing the newly elected leadership success for what would serve the students at HU.
The polling process was attended by Dr. Salem Muhammad bin Salman, head of the elections supervising committee, and a number of college members and students at the university’s colleges.
