Within the framework of cooperation between Hadhramaut University and the education and vocational training sector, which represents one of the important educational sectors in the development process; The Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs Prof. Salem Mohammed bin Salman, the Director of the Hadhramaut University Center for Students Training, Dr. Adel Mahfoud Basds, and the Director of Housing, Prof. Mohammed Ahmad Al-Ghishiri, visited the Vocational and Industrial Institute in Khalaf/Mukalla.
The university’s delegation from the Dean of the Institute, Prof. Aref Ghanem, became acquainted with the institute role that plays in supplying the local market with technical cadres in a number of professional specialties, which there’s a growing demand from companies, factories and foundation in various fields and Indicating that these outputs represent the basis of the community’s development process through the various technical services it provides.
Prof. Salem Mohammed bin Salman praised the role played by Vocational and Industrial Institute in Khalaf, along with the rest of the other institutes that include a group of important specialties in pushing the development process forward, indicated that this visit comes within the framework of establishing cooperation relations between the university and the Vocational and industrial institutes that It is supervised by Ministry of Technical Education and Vocational Training in the coast of Hadhramout, through number of joint training courses between the two, to serve students at the Hadhramout University.
Dr. Adel Mahfoud Basds gave an introduction of the Student Training Center at the Hadhramaut University, saying that ” The center, despite its recent establishment, was able to offer a group of specialized courses in a number of scientific and humanitarian fields to the undergraduate of various levels, and the first joint activity between the center and the institute will be the implementation of a course in Engineering and life skills field in the current month of March, for internal housing students in (Falak and Al-Ghalila) in Mukalla”.
