HU Vice President for Students Affairs Meets the Delegation of the Life Skills Project for University Girls


Prof. Salem Mubarak Al-Obthany; HU Vice President for Student Affairs , met with the delegation of the Life Skills Project for University Girls, funded by Al-Awn Foundation for Development and headed by the project officer, Mr. Zaki Bamabad. The meeting was held in the presence of Prof. Salem Muhammad bin Salman; the Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs and Dr. Adel Mahfoudh Basdes; General Director of the HU Student Training Center.

During meeting, the project officer provided an explanation of the project and the objectives expected to be achieved in providing university students with scientific and practical abilities and skills. On his part, Prof. Salem Al-Obthany praised the life skills program, which will have an impact on providing university students with a number of skills and abilities that are not available in university education. He also valued the partnership between Hadhramout University and development foundations for the benefit of students in particular, and the educational process in general. Moreover, he explained that HU Student Training Center plays an active role in establishing partnerships with these foundations to implement a set of programs and training courses that will develop students’ skills in various faculties of the university. The meeting was attended by Mr. Saleh Musaed; Relations and Media manager at Basma Foundation for Child and Women Development, the implementing agency of the life skills project, and Ms. Azal Al-Areeqi; director of Basma Foundation office, Mukalla branch, and the  coordinator of the life skills project for university girls in Mukalla.
