On Saturday, 4 January 2020, His Excellency Abd Rabo Mansour Hadi, President of Yemen, sponsored the annual graduation ceremony at Hadhramout University (HU). The ceremony, in which graduates were over 1000 students, including bachelor’s degree graduates and MS graduates, was held at the Hall of Ali H. Ba’abad in the University Presidency.
Governor of Hadhramout Province, Major General Faraj Salmeen Albahsani, congratulated those graduating and said, “Hadhramout University is making great strides towards top world university rankings.”
“Hadhramout Local Authority is going to build a new floor at the College of Environmental Sciences & Marine Biology as well as to renew the University Student Dormitory, calling on Hadhramout University to prepare studies necessary for such projects and submit them to the competent authorities,” he added.
HU Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Mohamed Saeed Khanbash expressed his happiness on this occasion when HU celebrates the graduation of a new batch of bachelor’s and MS graduates.
“Today, we are celebrating the graduation of Batch No. 21 of bachelor’s degree and Batch No. 16 of MS; Our University attaches great significance to scientific research through the publication in scientific journals and holding scientific conferences,” he said. “Last year, we held a number of conferences, including the scientific student conference, the 4th scientific conference on humanities and the 1st international conference on intelligent computing and engineering which made great achievements regionally and globally.”
At the end of the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister, Dr. Salem Ahmed Al-Khanbashi, Faraj Salmeen Albahsani, Governor of Hadhramout Province, as well as Prof. (Dr.) Mohamed S. Khanbash, HU Chancellor, and deputies honored the top graduates and those with honors.
