Hadhramout University Concludes Career Development and Business Support Program for Graduates


Hadhramout University concluded The “My Profession in Hand 7” training program for career development and business support for university graduates on Sunday, June 2, 2024, in Ali Ahmed Bakathir Hall at the University Presidency in Mukalla. It was implemented by the Nader Al-Nouri Academy for Nobles in partnership with Hadhramout University and funded by the Selah Development Foundation. The program was held under the patronage of the President of Hadhramout University, Prof. Mohamed Saeed Khanbash.

During the closing ceremony, the HU President, Prof. Mohamed Saeed Khanbash, confirmed that the university is proud of its partnership with the Selah Development Foundation and Nader Al-Nouri Academy for Nobles, describing them as strategic partners of the university. He congratulated the participants and wished them continued success in their academic and professional careers, calling for the continuation of this program in new versions.

From his part, the Vice President of Hadhramout University for Student Affairs, Dr. Salem Mubarak Al-Obathani, affirmed that the university pays great attention to graduate students and helps them obtain job opportunities. He pointed out that the career development program played a major role in qualifying 36 trainees.

Mr. Mohammed Abdullah bin Silem, From Nader Al-Nouri Academy for Nobles, indicated that the stage of graduation is one of the most difficult stages for students as they face great challenges in entering the labor market. He added that during the 52-hour training period, the students completed three training courses: design thinking, entrepreneurship, life skills, and employment skills. During these courses, they were able to produce 27 projects. He emphasized that the partnership with Hadhramout University has yielded the success of the program.

On the other hand, Mohammed bin Qarwan, a specialist in the “My Profession in Hand 7” program, explained the different stages of the program, promising the eighth season of the program, and urging the trainees to launch and excel in the labor market.

The closing ceremony of the program included the presentation of a brief overview of their projects by the students in front of the evaluation committee and the audience, to present the idea and stages of the projects. A projector presentation was also shown that simulates the stages and steps of the program from its inception.

The event was attended by Prof. Salem Mohammed bin Salman, Assistant Vice President of Hadhramout University for Student Affairs, several deans of colleges, staff members, students of Hadhramout University, several university presidents, Sheikh Dr. Abdullah Rabie Bu Dawaileh, Secretary-General of Iman University, and Salem Aboud Bamslam, Director of Educational Programs at Selah Development Foundation, Dr. Majdi Bouabs, a representative of the Chamber of Commerce in Hadhramout Coast, and Eng. Wasim Omar Rabiehan, Secretary-General of the Student Care Society.
