Nursing Faculty Organizes the Open Day Activities

The Student Council of the Nursing Faculty at Hadhramout University organized the activities of the Open Day and a ceremony to honor the outstanding students. Under the generous patronage of Prof. Muhammad Saeed Khanbash, the President of Hadhramout University, and with funding from the Hadhramout Hope Makers Foundation for Development as one of its goals and support for the youth and education sector.

During the ceremony, Prof. Salem Mubarak Al-Obathani, the Vice President for Student Affairs, emphasized the importance of these activities and student initiatives, inviting all institutions and civil society organizations to cooperate with Hadhramout University. He pointed out that the university stands out with various activities, including the University Awards for Student Creativity and the Student Scientific Conference, urging graduate students to conduct valuable research that serves the community that will presented at the upcoming general scientific conference.

 He also mentioned that the Language Center will be established at the university, which offers a range of training courses for students in life skills, English language, and others, affirming that these activities and events are available to all students in various faculties. He expressed his appreciation to Hadhramout Hope Makers Foundation for Development for supporting the students.

Dr. Abdullah Saeed Al-Hanshi, the Dean of the Nursing Faculty, mentioned that this event coincided with the university’s celebrations of its thirtieth anniversary. He stated that the faculty sponsored various academic and student activities, training courses and emphasized their commitment to developing students’ skills in all fields to build their personalities and leadership skills. He commended the role of the Student Council at the faculty for their activities and events, hoping that this excellence would continue, and thanked everyone who contributed to the success of these activities and events for the students of the Nursing Faculty.

Mr. Abdullah Jumaan Bamsaq, the Head of the Student Council of Nursing Faculty, stated that this activity is part of the council’s plan to honor outstanding students and show their talents and abilities to the community. He expressed his gratitude to the Dean of the Faculty for their interest and support for these student activities and events.

Ms. Manal Bin Dahman, the Public Relations Officer of the Hadhramout Hope Makers Foundation for Development, provided a brief overview of the foundation and the working mechanism in the education and youth support fields. She announced the opportunity for young people interested in volunteering with the foundation to register during the coming period.

After that, the Vice President of Hadhramout University for Student Affairs, the Dean of the Nursing Faculty, the President of the Student Council, and their accompanying officials visited the exhibition sections of the Open Day’s activities, which included the Mahri Department, Hadhrami Department, Veteran Nurses, Artworks, Awareness and Education, and the Triaq Al-Qurayshi Club, among other sections that were well-received and admired by the attendees and visitors.

At the end of the ceremony, the top students and winners of student activities were honored, receiving medals, certificates, cups, and awards. Hadhramout Hope Makers Foundation for Development was also honored for funding the event.

The event was attended by Dr. Yahya Al-Muallem, the Deputy Dean, heads of scientific departments, staff members, and students, Mr. Omar Hassan Bin Hulah, the Assistant Secretary-General for Administrative Affairs, Mr. Abdulrahman Barbaid, the General Director of Financial Affairs at the University, Mr. Fayad Faraj Baamar, the Secretary-General of the Nursing Faculty, and the Head of the Student Union at Hadhramout University.
