Nursing Faculty participated in several educational lectures held at the Institute of Health Sciences in Fuwa, Ibn Sina Hospital, Hadhramout University Center for Family Medicine, and Ghayl Bawazeer Hospital. It occurred as part of its participation in the World Patient Safety Day events, sponsored by the local authority in Hadhramout Governorate and under the patronage of Mr. Mabkhot Mubarak bin Madi, the Governor of Hadhramout Governorate and organized by the Office of the Ministry of Health and Population in Hadhramout Al-Sahel. The lectures occurred in the attendance of Abdullah Saeed Al-Hanshi, Dean of the Nursing Faculty, Dr. Yahya Khamees Al-Muallem, Deputy Dean of the faculty, and Dr. Haddad Al-Habshi, Head of the Community Health Nursing Department.
The lectures targeted heads of nursing, technical, and diagnostic departments in Ibn Sina Hospital, the teaching staff, male and female students of the Nursing faculty and the Health Institute, and employees of health centers.
During the lectures, the participants got acquainted with knowledge related to patient safety and the standards and protocols established by the World Health Organization. The discussions between the attendees and participants were extensive and focused on implementing global goals and standards for patient safety based on the available resources, highlighting the importance of continuing such lectures.
These contributions by the Nursing faculty mark the beginning of its activities in the academic year 2023/2024.
