On the occasion of the Arab Nursing Day celebration , the First Aid and Nursing Fundamentals course at the Nursing Faculty, Hadhramout University, concluded on Thursday morning, October 26, 2023. It was held under the supervision and training of Mr. Ali Bajamza, a certified trainer accredited by the British Board and the coordinator of the Nursing Faculty at Hadhramout University for student training.
The course covered the following topics: introduction to the concept of first aid and how to provide aid to an injured person, introduction to types of nutrients or intravenous fluids, administration of injections, establishment of stabilizers, and blood withdrawal. The course lasted for 12 hours, with an average of five hours per week for two weeks. The target audience for this course was first-year students at the Nursing Faculty, Hadhramout University.
At the end of this training course, a practical application was conducted based on the content covered by the lecturer.
