Overview Of Arabic Language Department
Arabic Language Department is one of the main Departments of the College of Open Education at the Hadhramout University. During its programs, the Department seeks to spread Arabic language in order to contribute education as one of the human rights beyond the limits of the traditional education and benefiting from the tremendous scientific improvement in the information technology and communications. The Department gives students a chance to choose some courses they wish to study in each semester, and provide them with the titles of the scientific references that help them understand the comprehension of the syllabus and provide them with some books and memos that contribute to facilitating the general content of these courses.

Mission
To spread literary and linguistic knowledge within an integrated and open educational institution and to contribute to keeping and looking after Arabic language.
Objectives
- To let students know the language laws and its skills in reading, speaking and writing.
- To let students acquire the linguistic and literary knowledge that enables them to perform the scientific and professional performance efficiently and distinctly.
- To let students be well versed in research methods and scientific methods in studying the issues of language and literature.
- To distinguish between the literary productions in its different eras and to analyze them, according to the various monetary and intellectual knowledge.
- To be proficient in language communication skills in order to follow up the requirements of contemporary life and the aspirations of future generations.
- Arabic language should be accessible to all, as the language of the Holy Quran, and the language preserved by God’s preservation of His Holy book.
