Open Education Faculty Celebrates the Graduation of the First Batch


Open Education Faculty at Hadhramout University – Al-Mahra Branch, celebrated the graduation of the first batch “deceased Saleh Salem bin Sinan batch”  in Al-Ghaidha, under the patronage and presence of Mr. Mohammed Ali Yasser;  Al- Mahra Governor and Chairman of the Local Council.

In the celebration, which was attended by Sheikh Saleh Aliyan;  the Deputy Governor – Supervising the Education Sector, Eng.  Salem Mohammed Al-Aboudi; Deputy Governor for Technical Affairs, and Ms. Khadija Bakrit; Assistant Deputy Governor for Women’s Affairs.

Governor Mohammed Ali Yasser congratulated the students who graduated from the Open Education Faculty , Wishing everyone good luck and a bright future. Moreover, he described the graduates as the basic and the future generation and expressed his happiness at the graduation of this batch.

In addition, He pointed out that the authority and society in Al-Mahra are completing each other and all the efforts that have been made in the successive authorities had its outcomes. He called on all the parts in the governorate to unite in order to encounter the challenges.

He explained that Al-Mahra today embraced all the people of Yemen from Saada to Hawf, indicating that the local authority is working with effort and diligence in  these difficult circumstances and capabilities, stressing that the authority will continue to make these efforts to maintain the security and stability of the governorate and keep it away from problems and conflicts, calling on everyone to stay away from hatred, extremism.

From his part, the Dean of the Education Faculty in Al-Mahra – and the coordinator of the Open Education Faculty  – Al-Mahra branch welcomed Governor bin Yasser;  the leadership of the local authority and all the attendees, for their participation in the graduation ceremony of the first batch of the Open Education Faculty , Al-Mahra branch.

Furthermore, He explained that the Open Education Branch in Al-Mahra was established in the academic year 2017-2018, with specializations in Accounting and Business Administration, and today we celebrate the graduation of the first batch of 34 male and female students. He pointed out that the graduates will support the governorate in these two specializations, thanking the local authority represented by Governor Bin Yasir, the General Secretary and the agents who provided support and assistance to education in general and university and higher education in particular.

Moreover, He explained that the governor pays attention to the Human Development Fund to rehabilitate students from the governorate and residents, whether in university or higher education inside and outside the Republic. Dr. Adel bin Maeili also thanked Hadhramout University, represented by Prof. Mohammed Saeed Khanbash; HU President for the academic support provided to the colleges in Al-Mahra, indicating that the first batch was called the batch of the deceased “Saleh Salem Sinan” in memory of this student, who has passed away. He also thanked the Deanship of the Open Education represented by Dr. Mohammed Salem bin Jumaan; Dean of the College, for its support and interest towards Al-Mahra branch, and for its seeking to open new majors in the college.

From her side, the graduate Noor Makki said, in the graduates’ speech, that the university staged one of the most beautiful days in the life of the student, in which the student draws from science and knowledge and acquires experiences and skills. She expressed with her colleagues their happiness at graduating from university after all this effort. She indicated that despite the feelings of joy and happiness of this graduation, there is a moment of pain, loss and sadness for the person who was died among the batch, but his memory is present in the hearts of his colleagues and lovers.

In addition, She explained that the results of the graduation came after effort, diligence and continuous work, so the student got his university degree, which he spent part of his life to obtain in order to serve his family, community and nation. She stressed that the graduates of the batch will work with honesty and vigor to serve the community and advance it for the better. She thanked all those who contributed with the graduates in their scientific study by the local authority led by Governor Bin Yasir, the deanship, professors and parents.

During the ceremony a speech was delivered by the family of the deceased, Saleh Sinan presented by Mohammed Salem Sinan. He explained that the attendance today was one of the deceased’s dreams in his last days, so that everyone could share his joy in graduating, which he sought with patience, diligence and perseverance, asking God to bless him with his mercy. He congratulated the male and female graduates for obtaining their bachelor’s degree, wishing them success in their lives, thanking everyone for their condolences on the passing of their son Saleh and making him present on this day.

All the attendees in the hall stood for a moment of silence to recite Al-Fatihah on the soul of the deceased, Saleh Salem bin Sinan, asking Allah to forgive him and bless his soul. During the ceremony, a number of poems were presented by the poets “Awad Ahmed Sinan, Majid bin Urwa, Abdul Majeed bin Awaid, Ahmed Mohammed Balhaf.” The Open Education College in Al-Mahra honored the Governor, Prof.  Mohammed Ali Yasser, with an appreciation shield for his efforts, support and sponsorship of the ceremony. The Faculty and the batch also presented shields of thanks and gratitude to the leadership of the local authority; Mr. Salem Abdullah Nimer; the General Secretary of the Local Council, the deputies, a number of general directors, the deanship of the college and professors and businessmen.

At the end of the ceremony, the governor honored the first batch of two majors, the family of the deceased Saleh Sinan, and all the graduates. The ceremony was attended by Dr. Fayez Jamaan bin Markab; Dean of the Applied Sciences and Humanities faculty in Al-Mahra , Salem Ahmed bin Nashi; Director of the Open Education Center in Al-Mahra, Dr. Ahmed Saeed Balhaf; Executive Director of the Human Development Fund, Mr. Faer Balhaf; General Director of the Social Affairs and Labor Office, Mr. Mohsen Belhaf; General Director of Al-Ghaydah Central Hospital, Mr. Mohammed Ahmed Aoushen; General Director of the Cleanliness and Improvement Fund , Brigadier Ali bin Ali al-Qumairi; Director of National Security , Awaidan Salem Yeshul; General Director of the Finance Office. In addition to Mr. Mohammed Mohsen Rafeat; General Director of Ceremonies in the governorate , Dr. Mohammed Ahmad Al Mujibi; Deputy Dean of Education College for Student Affairs, and a number of officials, social characters, families, and friends of the graduates.
