Under the patronage of Prof. Muhammad Saeed Khanbash; President of Hadhramout University, Women’s faculty inaugurated in an atmosphere of enthusiasm and active participation, the activities of the eleventh University Student Week 2021/2022 on Sunday, the nineteenth of June. It was held in the presence of HU president accompanied by Prof. Abdullah Saleh Babair; Vice President for University Academic Affairs, Prof. Salem Mubarak Al Obthany; Vice President for Student Affairs, Prof. Hadi Salem Al-Sabban; Vice President for postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, Prof. Najat Ahmed Bousaba; Dean of the Women’s faculty, and Dr. Nawal Mahfoudh Marei; Deputy Dean of the faculty and all the staff members.
The inauguration began with a tour of the Art Exhibition, which contained the most prominent artistic and handicraft works that reflect the department and provide its corners with the unique and wonderful aesthetic aspects of the student’s skill. This was followed by a tour of the bazaar, where the dining tables of the faculty departments students earned the admiration of everyone for the diversity of foods, the organization of the tables and the hospitality. The university president also praised the students’ creativity in such activities, as Women’s faculty is known for its activities in the bazaar, charitable dishes, and others periodically throughout the academic year.
The delegation also visited the exhibition of the faculty departments and got acquainted with the most important works and recreational activities provided by the students. They wished everyone success. Moreover, they visited the kindergarten to attend the inauguration of the two courses: “English for beginners” and “basics of drawing”.
It was also attended by many academic and social figures, responsible for student activities at the university presidency and in the presence of the faculty secretary, heads of scientific departments and all the staff members. It is worth mentioning that the activities of the university student week will continue for a week, included a number of activities, such as a sewing course, a number of cultural and intellectual competitions between scientific departments, a free drawing competition supported by the university presidency for all university students, scientific and educational visits to a number of historical and scientific places in the governorate.
