Overview Of Kindergarten
This department was established in the academic year 1996/1997. It awards a bachelor’s degree after studying for (4) academic years. It is based on the idea that the future of the generations and their development depends on the extent of the care and attention to children, and the importance of childhood. Hadhramout University opened this Kindergarten Department in Women’s Faculty as a qualitative faculty that cares for girls in order to exercise their rights in line with the guidance of Islam and the values of society.

- To qualify specialized teachers in the field of childhood and provide them with the knowledge and skills in their specialization.
- To prepare teachers who have an understanding and conviction of the importance of childhood and its impact on personal growth.
- To prepare teachers who have a rich knowledge base and extensive experience in educational, psychological and physical education and preparation of the children.
- To prepare teachers who are able to deal with children according to modern and interesting educational methods.
- Preparing graduates who are able to run educational institutions concerned with early childhood.
- To provide scientific consultations and training courses related to the field of childhood.

Courses of the Program :
The Department of Kindergarten provides specialized courses in the field of kindergarten in addition to other educational and scientific courses that aim at preparing professional graduates to work in kindergarten institutions. The students study the following courses through four years:

Educational Sciences including ( General Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Introduction to Kindergarten, Kindergarten Curriculum, Psychology of Play, Child Psychological Health, Evaluation of Kindergarten Child, Child’s Literature)
