The Sewing Workshop is the first workshop in the faculty which was established in 1997 along with the establishment of Home Economics Department. It contains designing and sewing tools and consists of two halls; one for sewing and the other for designing. It is used to introduce the students to the basics and concepts of sewing and designing clothes and to provide the skills that enable them to perform their role in community or towards themselves. In 2010, the Workshop was rehabilitated with new sewing and knitting machines which were funded by Al-Awn Foundation for Development.
