University Model Kindergarten (UMK) was established in 1999 to meet the needs of the Kindergarten Department in the practical aspects on one hand, and to receive the children of the University employees and staff members on the other hand. Besides, the children in the kindergarten are from the nearby neighborhoods. In addition, UMK is considered as an academic place for the Kindergarten Department to enable the students to practice their specialization and to enhance the role of kindergarten teachers in children care by suitable scientific and educational methodology. It contains of a garden and computer devises to acquaint the children with the modern technology. Also, UMK holds a graduation ceremony for its children every year, in which the children show their talents.
