Hadhramout University inaugurated the first scientific conference events for postgraduate students, as part of the second scientific research week events held by the university. During conference, Prof. Muhammad Saeed Khanbash; HU President indicated that Hadhramout University seeks to deepen the methodology of scientific research, develop research work in the postgraduate students, and review the researches of the other universities based on its vision of excellence in education, scientific research and community service.
Furthermore, he stressed that this first scientific conference is a great achievement and a pioneering step complementing the steps that preceded it, represented by the scientific conferences of undergraduate students researches at the university.
From his part, Prof. Hadi Salem Al-Sabban; Acting Vice President for postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, indicated that this conference comes within the interest of HU presidency and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Technical Education and Vocational Training in general to solve the problems that imposed in various fields. In addition to the deputyship’s belief on the necessity of developing scientific knowledge and employing modern technologies through scientific studies and research.
He also pointed out that this conference was held under the slogan “Postgraduate Students.. Scientific Research for Community Service,” which lasted for two days with the aim of introducing the local community and the global environment with the scientific research within the university theses, as well as deepening the methodology of scientific research, developing research work in postgraduate students. In addition to exchanging knowledge and experiences between the postgraduate students, staff members and the researchers.
The conference discussed about ninety scientific research distributed over ten sessions based on three main themes, namely: (Humanities, Basic and Applied Sciences, and Health Sciences).
