The training program for qualifying students' leaderships , financed and implemented by the Amal Hadhramout Foundation for Development, was concluded at HU. The Student Training Center at HU, sponsored by the University President, Prof. Muhammad Saeed Khanbash, and funded by the Amal Hadhramout Makers Foundation for Development.
A ceremony was held in the hall of the writer Ali Ahmed Bakathir on Thursday morning, March 18, 2021, attended by the Vice President for Student Affairs Prof. Dr. Salem Mubarak Al-Awbathani and his assistant Prof. Dr. Salem Mohammed bin Salman, the Director of HU Center for Student Training, Dr. Adel Mahfoudh Basds, and the President of the Amal Hadhramout Foundation Professor Talib Abdullah Bashhab . At the beginning of the celebration, Dr. Al-Awbathani reviewed the stage of establishing the HU Center for student Training and the most prominent precursors that accompanied the construction and how it was overcome, explaining that this center is the only one in Yemeni public universities as it will work to qualify students in various disciplines that are not available in the courses, He also talked about building the leadership personality of the university student, saying, "The university does not only work to teach the student the human and scientific sciences only, but also contributes in building leadership figures and making future leaders, indicating that many of the university's outputs, , are now assuming leadership positions inside and outside the republic in various fields, In conclusion, he thanked the third sector institutions that give such programs special care and attention,. Eng. Talib Abdullah Bashahab, Director of the Amal Hadhramout Foundation for Development, welcomed the attendees and emphasized the vital role of the university student in society, Thus the Foundation sought to present this program "Qualifying Student Leaders to contribute in discovering and refining students ’leadership and administrative skills and developing their abilities so that they are ready to engage in field work within the university and present various entrepreneurial initiatives to their community Pointing out that more than (45) male and female students from the University of Hadhramout of various levels and disciplines went through 6 training courses for 36 hours, which included a number of courses. The courses include communication and contact skills, the most prominent skills of the leader, how to prepare perceptions and reports, how to manage meetings, the art of speech and influence, and a statement of students' rights and duties. He thanked all the efforts made by the leadership of HU and the HU Center to train students and trainers for the success of this qualitative program.
The ceremony, which ended with honoring the trainers in the program and the students participating in it, included chant and poetic segments performed by the two students, Ibrahim Bahshwan and Salem bin Talib.
