HU President Launches a Workshop Entitled ”Developing the Specifications of the Academic Programs for Postgraduate Studies

The activities of the workshop entitled, Developing the specifications of the academic programs for postgraduate studies were launched in the Academic Development and Quality Assurance Center at Hadhramout University. It was organized by the Deputyship of the Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research at the university, in coordination with the Academic Center. It lasted for two consecutive days.

During the inauguration, Prof. Muhammad Saeed Khanbash; President of Hadhramout University, indicated that the university has witnessed a development in its scientific programs, including postgraduate programs. It is the beginning in the path of scientific development. He pointed out that in 2021 the university organized ten scientific conferences, and  2022 was the year of strategic planning, and today we are in 2023 the year of celebrating the thirtieth anniversary of the university establishment.

He confirmed that the university will witness during this thirtieth anniversary a number of activities, including the third strategic plan, the university student week, the third scientific research week, the first quality week, and other activities and events. He  thanked the Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research Deputyship for organizing this workshop, as well as The Academic Development and Quality Assurance Center for holding such scientific activities.

From his part, Prof. Abdullah Eidha Baheshwan; Director of the Academic Development and Quality Assurance Center at the University, expressed his thanks and appreciation to the University Presidency for its support to the Center, as well as the Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research Deputyship for its coordination with the Center to implement this workshop, which will contribute to the development of the educational and academic process. In addition to improving the quality of scientific programs for postgraduate studies at the University.

The workshop discussed a number of main points, including programs based on outcomes and content, the main component of the academic programs based on learning outcomes, program objectives, alignment between the program’s mission and objectives, main program learning outcomes, sub-learning outcomes, harmonization of outcomes, curriculum map, and other information.
