Hadhramout University launched an educational awareness lecture program for university students as part of the celebration of the 30th university anniversary and as part of the 12th university student week. The program targeted the following faculties; Arts and Humanities, Women, Administrative Science, Nursing, Medicine and Health Science, Engineering and Petroleum, Science, and Education/Mukalla. It was held under the patronage of Prof. Muhammad Saeed Khanbash; HU President.
The first lecture entitled ”The Bad Effects of Qat and Smoking on Humans and Society”, was presented by Dr. Waleed Abdullah Al-Batati; Executive Director of the Hadhramout Cancer Control Foundation.
Mr. Zaki Ahmed Bagwigo; General Director of the Students Activities Department at the Student Affairs Deputyship conveyed the greetings of the HU leadership, represented by the university president and his Vice for Student Affairs to the attendees as well as to the Hadhramout Cancer Control Foundation. He expressed his appreciation to the deanships of the faculties for organizing this program, and wished the students success in their lives.
The launch was attended by Faculties’ Deans, their Deputies, Staff Members, and many University Students.
