Hadhramout University Signs Cooperation Agreements with UNITAR and UTeM

On the morning of June 6th, a joint cooperation agreement was signed between Hadhramout University and UNITAR International University in Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur. The agreement was signed by Prof. Muhammad Saeed Khanbash; President of Hadhramout University, and Prof. Sahol Hamed bin Abu Bakar, Vice President of UNITAR International University. The agreement comes after several meetings between representatives of the two universities.

UNITAR International University’s Vice President welcomed the President of Hadhramout University and his accompanying delegation, stating that this agreement marks the beginning of continuous cooperation in various majors and areas, including administrative sciences and related disciplines at the bachelor’s and postgraduate levels, including distance learning. He hoped that Hadhramout University and its members would achieve further excellence in all fields.

From his part, HU president expressed his sincere thanks to UNITAR University and its leadership for the warm reception and excellent organization. He clarified the university’s desire to open up areas of joint cooperation to increase scientific outcomes for the members of both universities, as well as to open up wider horizons for researchers from both universities through distance learning and the establishment of quality programs for master’s and doctoral degrees. He also invited the Vice President of UNITAR University to visit Hadhramout University, explaining that the university is preparing to organize a series of events coinciding with the 30th anniversary of its establishment. The meeting was attended by Prof. Rosenon bint Abdulaziz;  Dean of Business Administration Faculty and the specialists in the scientific research field, as well as the President of the university.

It is worth mentioning that UNITAR University has been recognized as the first university in Asia to receive a 5-star rating in the QS Online Learning ranking.

In the same context, HU president visited Malacca State, specifically the Malaysian Malacca University in the evening of June 6th, where a memorandum of understanding was signed between Hadhramout University (HU) and Malacca University (Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka – UTeM).

Prof. Ghazali Omar; Vice President of the University for Research and Innovation, represented the Vice President of the University, while Prof. Zuhairi Eladha Zakaria, Director of CRIM, Prof. Masrullizam Ibrahim; Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, and Dr. Siti Hajar; Director of the International Center were among the welcoming committee for the President of Hadhramout University.

The signing was followed by a discussion on future joint cooperation in various fields, including scientific publication, the organization of international conferences and symposiums, the exchange of professors and students, as well as summer training.

It is worth mentioning that Malacca University is one of the best public universities in Malaysia, ranked 501-520 in the QS WUR by Subject 2023. The President of Hadhramout University was accompanied by Prof. Salem bin Salman, Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs, Prof. Salem Bamasoud, General Director of Scientific Research, Mr. Hussein Baslaib, General Director of the University President’s Office, and Dr. Samir Al-Bouri, University Representative.
