Prof. Muhammad Saeed Khanbash; President of Hadhramout University met with scholarship students in Kuala Lumpur to discuss their progress and offer encouragement on Friday, June,9. He checked on the student’s academic progress, urging them to make more efforts in their academic achievement and to focus on scientific production and publication in the Web of Science and Scopus databases. He stressed the importance of adding Hadhramout University’s name to published research. He also gave a vision for the university’s future in the coming years, emphasizing that graduate students represent one of the most important pillars relied upon to activate some of the agreements related to universities around the world.
Furthermore, Dr. Salem Bamasoud; General Director of Scientific Research, spoke about the incentives adopted to encourage researchers to publish their research in high-impact factor journals. He explained that the editorial board of Hadhramout University Journal of Natural and Applied Sciences is working hard to register the journal in the Scopus database, which requires the cooperation of everyone by contributing to the publication of some research in the journal and reviewing related research published in the same journal.
During the meeting, there was a productive discussion that included questions, inquiries, and suggestions that will be considered in the upcoming days. The students expressed their gratitude to the university’s leadership, headed by Prof. Muhammad Saeed Khanbash, for this kind invitation and wished success to the university’s leadership and its members.
The university president was accompanied by Prof. Salem Bin Salman; Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs, Dr. Salem Bamasoud; General Director of Scientific Research, Mr. Hussein Baslaib; General Director of the University President’s Office, and Dr. Samir Al-Bouri; the university’s representative.
