Prof. Muhammad Saeed Khanbash; President of Hadhramout University and Prof. Hadi Salem Al-Sabban; Acting Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research launched the postgraduate entrance exams for all specializations in various faculties.
The number of applicants for the exams was 260 students in 57 specializations, in addition to the 6 new specializations, including 4 master’s programs and 2 Doctorate programs. The new master’s programs are Architectural Engineering Sciences, Architecture Engineering at Engineering and Petroleum Faculty, Kindergarten at Open Education Faculty, and English Language at the Education Faculty in Socotra. The new Doctorate programs are Public Health at Medicine and Health Sciences Faculty, and Marine Biology at Environmental Sciences and Marine Biology faculty.
During the launch, Prof. Muhammad Saeed Khanbash, called on students applying for postgraduate programs, to make more efforts to obtain the academic seats, wishing them success in continuing their postgraduate studies at the university.
Prof. Hadi Salem Al-Sabban pointed out that these new specializations were inaugurated for the first time at the university within the plan of the postgraduate studies deputyship to develop the academic and scientific programs in various departments.
It is worth mentioning that Hadhramout University has worked on facilitating procedures for students residing in other governorates. The entrance exams for the Doctorate program of Public Health at Medicine and Health Sciences Faculty were launched at an examination center in Al-Hudaydah Governorate. The number of students participating was 20.
The launch was attended by Dr. Samir Ba-othman; Dean of the Medicine and Health Sciences Faculty, Dr. Omer Mahrous; Head of the Exams Committee, Mr. Yasser Baabbad; General Director for Admission and Registration Department at the postgraduate studies deputyship.
