The 3rd Scientific Research Week Activities concluded with The Joint International Webinar entitled “Bee Honey: Miracles between Medicine and Food”. It occurred at Ali Ahmed Bakatheer Hall under the patronage of Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council. It is organized in cooperation with the International Islamic University Malaysia and Airlangga University in Indonesia.

During the opening session of the webinar, Prof. Mohamed Saeed Khanbash, President of Hadhramout University, welcomed the attendees and emphasized the importance of this webinar in enhancing the university’s research reputation and contributing to international rankings.

It discussed three main topics: “Why Hadhrami Honey is Considered One of the Most Expensive Types of Honey in the World,” presented by Prof. Mohamed Saeed Khanbash; “Bee Honey: Science and Islamic Perspectives,” presented by Dr. Noor Huda Faujan from the International Islamic University Malaysia; and “The Power of Honey: From Society to Evidence-Based Medicine,” presented by Dr. Arefa Mostika from Airlangga University in Indonesia.

It was chaired by Prof. Mohamed Ashour Al-Kathiri, President of Seiyun University, and Dr. Lutfi Ben Dahman from the Medicine and Health Sciences Faculty at Hadhramout University.

The webinar had several discussions and interventions from the attendees regarding bee honey, and the presenters responded to them. It was attended by Prof. Abdullah Saleh Babair, the Vice President of the University for Academic Affairs, Prof. Hadi Salem AL-Sabban, the Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, Prof. Salem Mohammed Bin Salman, the Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs and the HU faculty members, researchers, and students.
