Eng. Raafat Al-Thaqali, the Governor of Socotra Archipelago, met with Prof. Mohamed Saeed Khanbash, the President of Hadhramout University.
During the meeting, HU President reviewed an overview of the achievements and developments witnessed by the university during the past period. He highlighted the events and activities organized by the university as part of its 30th anniversary. He also discussed the developments that have taken place in the Faculty of Education in Socotra over the past three years. The Governor was briefed on the university’s plan to develop the Education Faculty in the coming period.
HU President commended the efforts and support provided by the local authority to the Education Faculty in Socotra, which contributed to the stability of the educational and academic process at the faculty during the past period.
From his part, the Governor of Socotra Archipelago expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the HU President and the deanship of the faculty. He also expressed their readiness to overcome all difficulties and obstacles facing the educational process, the deanship, faculty, and staff members.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Saad Amer Al-Darahi, the Dean of the Education Faculty in Socotra, Mr. Abdullah Alawi Eidid, the Secretary-General of Hadhramout University, and Mr. Hussein Baslaib, the General Director of the University President’s Office.
