Workshop on “Hadhramout University’s Position in the QS Arab Region Ranking and Mechanisms for Improvement and Development” Held During Academic Development Week

A workshop entitled “Hadhramout University’s Position in the QS Arab Region Ranking and Mechanisms for Improvement and Development” was held at the Faculty Center for Academic Development and Quality Assurance at Hadhramout University, with the participation of vice-deans for quality affairs across faculties, employers, and representatives of civil society organizations. The event was part of the Academic Development Week, organized under the theme “Towards Excellence, Quality, and Building an Advanced Knowledge Society,” and sponsored by Prof. Dr. Mohammed Saeed Khanbash, President of Hadhramout University.

The workshop, chaired by Prof. Dr. Salem Faraj Bamsoud, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, featured presentations by Dr. Lutfi Saeed Bin Dahman, Dr. Saeed Abdulqader Al-Amoudi, and Dr. Suheer Ali Al-Hadrami. Topics discussed included employer reputation, activation of e-learning programs, international collaboration with leading universities, and how to leverage such partnerships, QS ranking methodologies, and the employer reputation survey, among other relevant information.

The session included several insightful interventions and discussions by attendees regarding the University’s position in the QS Arab Region Rankings and strategies for improvement and development.

Academic Development Week at Hadhramout University aims to advance legislative and academic frameworks, enhance quality and international ranking, develop guiding manuals, and foster partnerships. It serves as a strategic platform for constructive dialogue and planning toward transitioning into third- and fourth-generation universities capable of producing and disseminating knowledge and contributing effectively to community development.

The workshop was attended by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Saeed Khanbash, Hadhramout University President; Mr. Abdullah Alawi Eideed, Secretary-General of the University; and Prof. Dr. Abdullah Ayedhah Bahashwan, Director of the Faculty Center for Academic Development and Quality Assurance.
