The Literary Hall, named after renowned writer Ali Ahmed Ba Kathir at the Presidency Headquarters of Hadhramout University, will host the graduation project discussions of students from the Department of Journalism and Media for the academic year 2025–2026.
The discussions will take place over three days, from Sunday, May 17, to Tuesday, May 19, 2026, starting at 8:00 a.m., in the presence of the University Vice President for Academic Affairs and Acting President of the University, Prof. Abdullah Saleh Babair.
The submitted projects showcase a wide range of media productions and creative initiatives, including media platforms, newspapers, films, television programs, radio programs, podcasts, graphic designs, investigative reports, media campaigns, research studies, and websites.
On the first day, eight projects will be discussed, including the “Visual Identity of Hadhramout University,” “Juthoor,” the film “The Blue Illusion,” the podcast “What Does Sudan Mean?”, and a sports supplement dedicated to the participation of Tadamon Hadhramout Club in the Gulf Cup Football Championship.
The second day will feature discussions of another eight projects, including the film “Shadow of the Road,” the television program “Moment,” and the investigative report “Poisoned Fruits.”
The discussions will conclude on the third day with seven additional projects, including the media campaign “70 Years of Giving,” documenting Yemeni-Chinese relations, the film “A Bus Story,” and the platform “Mulhim.”
This diversity of projects reflects the richness of students’ experiences and the variety of media production formats presented by the Department, highlighting a distinguished academic event that aligns with Hadhramout University’s vision of promoting creativity, innovation, and excellence in the field of media and communication.
