MOVE Project Meeting Reviews Work Package 2 Outcomes and Proposed Academic Programs under Work Package 3

A meeting of the MOVE Project was held on 23 September 2026 via videoconferencing, under the leadership of Ms. Silvia Marchioni, Project Director, with the participation of representatives from partner universities and institutions. The meeting focused on reviewing the outcomes of Work Package 2 and discussing the academic programs proposed under Work Package 3.
University of Sulaimani leads Work Package 2, which addresses labor market needs and identifies gaps between required skills and existing academic programs. During the meeting, participants reviewed and discussed the final report of the work package. Based on its findings, each partner institution presented its proposed programs for development or introduction.
In this context, the Environmental Sciences and Marine Biology Faculty at Hadhramout University presented two proposals: introducing a Bachelor’s Program in Food and Agricultural Technology and updating the Bachelor’s Program in Environmental Sciences.
Representing Hadhramout University at the meeting were Dr. Lotfi Bin Dahman, Dr. Suheir Al-Hadhrami, and Dr. Saeed Al-Amoudi from the Office of International Cooperation, in addition to Dr. Jamal Abbad, Dr. Majed Bamsallam, Dr. Wael Al-Sabban, and Dr. Mohammed Muqbil from the Environmental Sciences and Marine Biology Faculty.
The meeting also discussed a proposal to organize an open online seminar on 15 October to celebrate Mediterranean Universities Union Student Day.
