Hadhramout University in 52nd Session of AArU Executive Council

Pro. Mohammed Saeed Khanbash, (HU) President, participated in the meetings of the Executive Council of the Association of Arab Universities (AArU)  in its 52nd   session hosted by Helwan University in Sharm El-Sheikh. He said: “ Our participation in the AArU meeting provides an ample evidence on the status of HU among the Arab universities; and the regularity of AArU meetings opens up new vistas for continuous research to develop higher education in our countries.”

The Council discussed several agendas prepared by the General Secretariat in the presence of most representatives of Arab universities, including the proposals of the AArU statutes and its amendments, membership applications of some Arab universities to AArU, and approving the general budget and the final accounts.

Pro.  Amr Salama, Secretary General of AArU, praised the membership applications made by Al-Azhar University and Al-Quds University in Palestine, and Nahrain University in Iraq, as well as their desire to host the next session of the AArU Conference.

“The Association is now implementing several important projects that aim to preserve Arab thought products, such as Arab impact factor project, Arab universities classification project, as well as registering Arab journals and periodicals in the International Classification of Scopus.” said the Assistant Secretary General of AArU.
