The board of directors of IAESTE Yemen Center, at Hadhramaut University, held the first session to discuss its plan of action during the coming period. At the meeting, Dr. Mohammed Saeed Khunbash, HU president, stressed that the university had a direct link with Arab and international institutions and organizations in expanding its student activities and moving toward the world to open its window.
He said that the university will have relations with all the countries of the world and facilitate the university’s external participation, especially in training field for students in international universities, showing the university’s readiness to offer all facilities. He also expressed his thanks to the university’s students for their efforts to establish this international center, which will offer various training opportunities in the various fields of science and technology to university students and will contribute to the advancement of students Categorize them globally.
For his part, Prof. Salem Mubarak Al-Oabthani, Vice-president of the University for Student Affairs, noted that the Centre will open new external windows by reaching out to universities in the world and international organizations as part of the services offered by the Hadramaut University to its students. It will receive all the training offers for students in all member countries of the international organization.
Dr. Khaled Badukhin, Director of the IAESTE Yemen Centre at HU, reviewed the services and tasks to be carried out by the Centre during the next phase, including formal invitations to participate in international and regional conferences of the Organization, participation and interaction with more than 88 countries worldwide and relevant international organizations, and strengthening the University’s position in classification and academic accreditation, indicated that the Centre would link HU to more than 1000 universities worldwide, establish partnerships with one of the offices of the Member States of the Organization, raise training offers for Member States, contribute to the national economy and promote tourism by bringing in trained students from various countries of the world. In addition to solving the problem of training for students at some other universities, Hadhramaut University could coordinate with a number of Yemeni universities to create a Yemeni national association for the organization.
