Within the University efforts to strengthen its role in community service, and to encourage women’s education in rural areas, the HU Open Education Centre in Seiyun and the Local Authority in Wadi Al Ein & Howrah Directorate signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on Tuesday, 26th of June 2018, regarding the opening of an exam center in the Directorate. The MOU was signed by Dr. Riad Abdurrahman Mangoosh, Director of the Open Education Centre and representative of HU, and Mr. Salem Saleh Bin Abadin Bawazeer, Director General of Wadi Al Ein & Howrah Directorate.

Based on that memorandum, the University students who are enrolled in the distance education system will be tested at the Exam Center in the city of Howrah starting from the second semester final examinations of the current academic year 2017-2018, which are expected to be launched on July 15th this year.

It is worth noting that the exam center in Howrah is the second exam center of Hadhramout University in the Valley and Desert of Hadhramout besides the exam center in Alsum which was opened on March 29th, 2018. These two directorates are giving great attention as they are located in the outskirts of Hadhramout Valley and Desert and it is difficult for female students to go to the college complex in the city of Seiyun.
