Under the chairmanship of HU and the sponsorship of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Hall of Ali Bakthir witnessed an introduced workshop in the preparation of the National Criteria for Yemeni Universities Ranking that funded by Al Awn Foundation for Development and Selah Foundation for Development.
The workshop aims to prepare the national criteria of universities ranking in order to identify the needs of Yemeni universities according to international standards to assess the gap and help universities to prepare a strategic intervention plan to reach to the advanced levels at the regional and global level. In addition to discuss and approve the national criteria for universities ranking and spread the importance of quality and the academic accreditation.
At the opening session of the workshop, Dr. Mohamed Saeed Khanbash, HU Rector, pointed out that these criteria are going to be implemented during this year at Hadhramout University, while an annual ranking of universities is going to be conducted by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the coming years, which will create a strong competition between universities.
He also tanked Al Awn Foundation for Development and Selah Foundation for Development for their supporting and funding of this workshop.
