Hadhramout University (HU) organized an honoring ceremony for its winner team of Yemeni Universities Football (YUF) Championship / Mukalla, and participating in the Arab Futsal Championship, which held at Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Prof. Mohamed Saeed Khanbash, HU Rector, pointed that this ceremony comes in recognition of the outstanding achievements of the team, and he said, ‘We are distinguished from other Yemeni universities by linking student activities to study and by organizing several activities such as the Student Scientific Conference and Student University Awards.' He add, 'HU students have achieved many successes locally and regionally.’
‘We are interested in participating locally and regionally, and committed to hold sport, cultural, scientific and creative activities for our students. The University and College Championships are going to be held as an annual university tradition, in addition to other sport events within the Student Week.’ Prof. Salem Al-Obthani, HU Rector for Student Affairs, said.
At the end of the ceremony, HU Rector, his deputies, Mr. Hassan Masjedi, Director General of the Ministry Office of Youth and Sports, and Mr. Darweesh Saweed, President of the General Association of Football / Hadhramout coastal area, honored HU team as well as the female students participated in the training course.
