Prof. Salem Mubarak Al-Obthani, HU Vice-President for Student Affairs, met with Dr. Ali Ahmed Al-Waledi, Under-Secretary for Public Health and Population, Primary Health Sector, and discussed ways of joint cooperation between the University and the Ministry in all areas of health.
HU Vice-President noted that the University had the University Hospital for Gynecology, Obstetrics and Children and the Centre for Family Medicine, which provided services and health and treatment care to the community; HU had an effective partnership with the Ministry of Public Health and Population. The University brought together many health personnel from the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences and the College of Nursing every year to work in all health facilities in order to serve the community in Hadhramaut.
For his part Dr. Ali Alwuledi, said that HU is a key partner with the Ministry of Health, which is willing to assist the University in providing the necessary requirements it needs to provide to international organizations supporting the health sector in Yemen.
The meeting was attended by: Dr. Hadi Salim Al-Sabban, Vice-President for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research and Dr. Yasir Bahshem, Director of Malaria Control Programme, Ministry of Public Health and Population Office, Hadhramaut Coast.
