With the participation of a large number of experts from the Arab World and Malaysia, Dr. Salem Faraj Bamsaud, Director General of Postgraduate Studies & Scientific Research at Hadhramout University (HU) participated in the experts meeting of Technology Innovation & Entrepreneurship in the Arab World, which was held in the Royal Scientific Society headquarters, Jordan, from 26-28 November.
The meeting aims at discussing solutions to address gaps related to national systems of innovation and entrepreneurship in the Arab World, highlighting the role of entrepreneurs in sustainable development, exchanging international and regional cooperation and communication. In addition to challenges, needs and anticipations of the owners of small and medium-sized businesses who develop the content and functions of digital empowerment portal of those businesses.
During the meeting, Dr. Bamsaud spoke about the impact of universities on the dissemination of innovation and entrepreneurship culture, providing some statistics of HU members' achievements in this field. He also demonstrated the effective role that both Hadhramout University and Hadhramout Foundation of Invention & Advancement of Science play in encouraging students and developing their talents.
It is worth mentioning that this is the second invitation Dr. Bamsaud has received from the United Nations Economic & Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA).
