With the participation of twenty-eight Arab universities, Prof. Mohamed Saeed Khanbash Hadhramout University President participated in the virtualmeeting organized by the UNESCO Regional Bureau for Education in the Arab States in Beirut under the title: "Arab universities in the midst of Corona pandemic; future prospects".
Prof. Khanbash talked about cooperation between Arab universities and the support of university capabilities at the level of virtual learning.
This meeting lasted for three hours, during which the presidents of the participating Arab universities discussed the key themes as follows: reviewing universities' experiences in the midst of Corona pandemic, e-learning and distance education. In addition totaking examsin such circumstances, blended learning experiences, e-learning mechanism in the scientific aspects of the colleges of engineering and medicine, training faculty members in e-learning, and challenges facing universities during this period.
At the end of the meeting, they approved the following results: emphasizing the importance of e-learning and distance education,moving towards blended education, developing a future strategy, forming a committee to set up e-learning regulationsconsisting of experts in Arab pioneering universities, supporting university capabilities at the level of e-learning and measuring its quality, cooperation between universities, and holding other meetings to evaluate and implement the results of the meeting.
