The leadership of Hadhramout University, headed by Prof. Dr. Muhammad SaeedKhanbash, President of the Universitywas informed of, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Abdullah SalehBabaier, Vice President of Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Salem Mubarak Al-Awbathani, Vice President of Student Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Hadi Salem Al-Sabban, Vice President of the University of postgraduate studies and scientific research, and Dr. Muhammad Bamtrif, Dean of the College of Computers and Information Technology, the graduation projects, that contribute to serving the university and its colleges, of graduate students from the College of Computing.
At the meeting, the university president praised such student projects that contribute to the development of the educational process at the university and improve the quality of education of the electronic systems that help the teaching staff through the use of educational electronic programs to reduce the effort in the electronic correction process, and other electronic educational programs. He indicates that the university is in the process of organizing a scientific conference in December 2020, in coordination with the local authority in the governorate. These projects will be used and presented in the conference's work.
On his part, Vice President of Student Affairs Prof. Dr. Salem Mubarak Al-Awbathani appreciated the efforts made by students in preparing these student projects that serve the community and help graduates through marketing them in finding job opportunities, noting that the Student Affairs Deputyship at the University will push for these projects and student achievements in order to be applied to practical reality.
For his part, Dr. Muhammad Bamtrif, Dean of the College of Computing and Information Technology, said that these professional projects for students are applicable, and the college will contribute to marketing them in the labor market for companies in order to encourage and motivate students to continue to innovate, excel and succeed. The Dean has called on all agencies, institutions and service facilities to support and encourage students by absorbing the distinguished and qualitative graduation projects, in line with the vision and objectives of the Faculty of Computers at the University of Hadhramout towards achieving leadership and community service.
In their turn, the students expressed their satisfaction and thanks to the leadership of the university and the deanship of the college for this interest, support and motivation. The students presented a set of projects, the most important of which was the automatic correction of the admission examinations as a project that supports high levels of transparency, and the digital education platform project that achieves social distancing as a requirement for distance education as it is an urgent necessity in all countries of the world, and an applicable model according to the available infrastructure of the University of Hadhramout, in addition to other qualitative projects such as the digital library, the mobile attendance system, the online examination system, which is another requirement for e-learning.
The meeting was attended by: Dr. Izzat Al-Saadi, Director General of the Information Technology Center at the University, Dr. Said Bannaimoun, Vice Dean of the College of Computing and Information Technology, Dr. Muhammad Salem bin Jamaan, Dean of the College of Open Education, and a number of graduate students from the Faculty of Computing and Information Technology at the University of Hadhramout.
