Under the patronage of his Excellency, Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi, President of Yemen, Hadhramout University Held its second scientific research week on period March 15th – 20th ,2022 – at the hall of Adeeb, Ali A. Bakathir in the presidency.
at the opening ceremony Prof. Khaled Ahmed Al-Wasabi, Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research, Technical Education and Vocational Training, spoke via Zoom, in which he pointed out that these events were part of the interest of Hadhramaut University in scientific research, which was a fundamental pillar of the universities.
On his part, Prof. Mohammed Saeed Khanbash, HU President , indicated – in his speech – that scientific research is one of the most important functions carried out by universities as well as education and community services. Therefore, Hadhramaut University attached great importance to scientific research; ensuring that scientific publications are regularly published in its scientific journals, creating an award for international scientific publication and holding a number of scientific conferences during the academic year 2021, and ten international conferences were held in partnership with a number of Malaysian universities and scientific and research institutions.
he noted that the second scientific research week will witness a number of events, including: The first scientific conference for postgraduate students, the seventh scientific conference for university students for the undergraduate level, a workshop for evaluating research centers at the university, and the ceremony of publicizing the registration of one hundred patents for university students. as well as organizing its first international symposium for multidisciplinary research studies, included medical and engineering disciplines, under the title (Recent Electromagnetic Technologies in Real Life & Emerging), with the participation of researchers from global universities as well as Hadhramaut University. He said: This is part of the strategic plan adopted by the University to promote productive regional and international partnerships and sustainable cooperation, which has a positive impact on the University’s members. It also contributes to the international renumbering of the University.
The opening ceremony was attended by: Prof. Abdullah Saleh Babair, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Prof. Salem Mubarak Al Obathani, Vice President for Student Affairs, Prof. Hadi Salem Al-Sabban, Acting Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, and Professor Abdullah Alawi Aideed, General Secretary of the University , a number of faculties’ deans and their deputies, heads of scientific departments, faculty members at Hadhramout University, Dr. Salem Bafqir, President of Al Rayyan University, Dr. Aboud Al-Abal, President of the Arab University, Dr. Khaled Salman Al-Akbari, General Manager of the Yemeni Oil Company in Hadhramout Coast , and Dr. Mohammed Salem Bakhla’a, General Manager of the Administration Public Works of Hadhramout Coast, and a number of general managers of the governorate’s executive offices.
