Today, under the patronage of the Hadhramaut Governor, the commander of the second military region, Major-General Faraj Salmeen Al-Bahsani, a joint cooperation convention was signed between the Hadhramaut University and the University Malaysia Pahang.
At the signing meeting of the Convention, held via video conferencing, the Hadhramaut Governor emphasized the significant of this event in the Hadhramaut University's history, also, he added that "this event is a result of the long-established bilateral relations between our country and the Malaysia Kingdom ". He noted that hundreds of Yemeni students and specially from Hadhramaut were studying at Malaysian universities, praised this remarkable scientific step that will contribute to the exchange of experiences between the two universities, and invited the leadership of the University Malaysian Pahang to visit Hadhramaut in the case that the world's health procedures of Corona pandemic were lifted .
The Convention was signed by the President of Hadhramaut University , Prof. Mohammad Said Khanbash, and the President of University Malaysia Pahang , Prof. Wan Azhar Wan Yusuf.
The Cooperation convention aims to promote and activate joint cooperation between the two universities in the general Educational Field, distance education in various fields including higher studies and the cooperation between researchers in both universities. Also, to develop the scientific research system and its results through the scientific papers were published in world journals, and to exchange experiences and professors to achieve a genuine partnership that has a positive impact on both sides.
The President of Hadhramaut University , Prof. Mohammad Saeed Khenbesh affirmed the importance of signing the partnership convention between the two Universities and their contribution to enhance the education quality in the Hadhramaut University , noted that the first cooperation between the two universities would be initiated by joint cooperation between computer colleges of the two universities.
The President of University Malaysia Pahang , Prof. Wan Azhar explained that the Malaysian University has more than 175 students only from Hadhramout enrolled in various colleges of the University, and expressed his pleasure for this cooperation, which would result in a partnership in masters, doctorates and other research fields.
After the signing meeting, a discussion session was held between the two universities leaders to discuss the mechanism for activating the convention, which would include the implementation of distance courses between some colleges of both universities.
