Hadhramout University advanced against all Yemeni universities and ranked at the first place in Scopus of the international classifications in the field of scientific research. It ranked at the 1st at the local level, 61st at the Arabian Level, 706 at the global level.
Scopus is a globally reliable indicator that depends on research performance, innovation outcomes, and societal impact to rank universities in different countries of the world.
Mr. Mabkhout Mubarak bin Madi; Hadhramout Governor congratulated Hadhramout University for this great achievement that was resulted from the development in scientific research, and the use of the modern technologies in information systems. He praised the efforts made by researchers from the university’s staff members who have a direct impact through their research published in many scientific journals around the world. He also explained that researchers and academics of Hadhramout University inside and outside the country, confirmed their distinction through their scientific research, which is the great result of the efforts made by all its affiliates in the leadership of the university, staff members and administrators.
The world rankings included 6 Yemeni universities, as follows:
1- Hadhramout University is ranked: 706 globally | 61 Arab | 1 locally.
2- Dhamar University is ranked 717 globally| 72 Arab | 2 locally.
3- Taiz University is ranked 723 globally | 77 Arab | 3 locally.
4- Ibb University is ranked 726 globally| 80 Arab| 4 locally.
5- Hodeidah University is ranked 736 globally | 90 Arab | 5 locally.
6- Sana’a University is ranked 740 globally | 94 Arab | 6 locally.
The classification depends on the research performance (50%), innovation outcomes (30%), and societal impact (20%).
