At the opening session of the program of quality development in Yemeni universities according to HU modern academic practices, under the patronage of his Excellency Mr. Khaled Ahmed Al-Wubaby, the Minister of higher Education, Scientific Research, Technical Education and Vocational Training, he pointed out in his speech through video communication technology ( zoom ) that "today, we are launching this program for quality system, which is one of the important pillars for developing the educational and academic process in universities" and he praised the HU role in implementing this program that will contribute to the development of the international quality system in Yemeni universities, referring to the ministry that undertook. Also, expressed his thanks and appreciation to HU all Yemeni universities for their role in the academic and scientific evaluation.
For his part, Dr. Abdullah Saleh Babair , Vice President for Academic Affairs, pointed out that the quality of the educational system has become a necessity for universities to achieve and take a path to getting to the academic accreditation of their programs and academic components locally ‘regionally and internationally, noting that the quality of the educational system is an important indicator In the ranking of universities and academic institutions.
He added that the HU was seeking to reach to higher degrees, and indicated that "the University has done a wide range of work that has established the HU associates on this long path and under difficult and complex conditions and scarce possibilities in the belief that A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.
Also, he confirmed that the University was the first Yemeni university to have an electronic quality system and thanked the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research, Technical Education and Vocational Training, represented by His Excellency Minister Dr. Al-Wasabi, and the University's Centre for Academic Development and Quality Assurance, represented by Dr. Abdullah Eidha Bahashwan.
Then The training process for the program implemented by the Quality Expert and Academic Accreditation Dr. Mohammed Abdul Latif Al-Shirgbi was launched .
Participants receive a number of information and skills about learning systems based on learning outputs and components, "building course descriptions according to modern global academic best practices," Effective teaching, "design of the curriculum learning measurement system," continuous curriculum improvement and development, and measurement of key performance indicators of universities, national and global academic programmes and other information.
It was attended by: Dr. Salem Mubarak Al-Obthani, Vice President for Student Affairs , Prof. Hadi Salem Al-SabBan, Vice President for postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research , Prof. Abdullah Eidha Bahashwan, Director of the Academic Development and Quality Assurance Center/HU , a number of faculty, academics and prof. Ali Hassan Bashmakh, Director Executive of the Association for Development and a number of other university representatives.
