Prof. Muhammad Saeed Khanbash; President of Hadhramout University expressed his gratitude towards this joint collaboration with Malaysian Universiti Teknologi Petronas. Where five of its outstanding students started training in one of the advanced universities according to the QS World University Ranking . In addition to the generous sponsorship of Eng. Abdullah Ahmed Bugshan; Board of Trustees Chairman and Head of Hadhramout Foundation For Human Development. It was held by video conference via zoom in the presence of Prof. Abdullah Saleh Babair; HU Vice President for Academic Affairs, Prof. Salem Muhammad Bin Salman; Assistant Vice President for Students Affairs and Prof. Salem Ba-Moumen; Dean of Engineering and Petroleum Faculty. In addition to , the ambassador Adel Muhammad Ba-Hamaid and Dr. Samir Al- Buri; Coordinator and HU representative as well as a member of international collaboration and the delegated students to UTP.
From his part Prof. Abdullah Saleh Babair; Vice President for Academic Affairs pointed out that this is a good opportunity for students, so they have to be patient and work hard to achieve good results. At the same time Dr. Adel Ba-Hamaid congratulated Hadhramout University Leadership for fulfilling this achievement in building such international relations with universities. He praised for the role of Dr. Samir Al-Buri who is as a dynamo of this activity. He also referred to the Universiti Malaya, which is the first in the Malaysian universities ranking, in which he gathered with officials in a meeting and requested the establishment of study courses in Yemeni universities under the supervision of the scientific departments at the Universiti Malaya. Prof. Salem Ba-Moumen, Dean of Engineering and Petroleum Faculty at Hadhramout University, wished the students success, pointing out the pride of Engineering and Petroleum faculty to have its outstanding students at the forefront of this pioneering scientific opportunity at Hadhramout University.
On the other hand, the students expressed their gratitude to the leadership of the university and the faculty, thanking everyone who contributed to their scholarship, appreciating the role of Sheikh Abdullah Ahmed Bugshan.
The meeting concluded with a speech by Dr. Samir Al-Bouri, in which he gave a detailed explanation of the students scholarship, their dormitory and living conditions, the study, and the duties assigned to each one of them.
