Prof. Muhammad Saeed Khanbash; President of Hadhramout University visited some Indonesian Universities to discuss aspects of cooperation in some academic and research fields as well as student affairs.
He visited Airlangga University on Monday, May,29, and signed a joint cooperation agreement in many aspects such as; scientific publication, student and professor exchange, research projects and organization of international conferences and scientific symposiums.
During the visit, Hadhramout University President expressed his appreciation for this cooperation and thanked the Indonesians for their hospitality.
From his part, Prof. Mohammad Nasih; President of Airlangga University welcomed the HU delegation and expressed his pleasure at this cooperation. He pointed out the university’s readiness to facilitate all the aspects of this cooperation. Furthermore, a meeting was held on the next day in the president’s office to discuss the mechanism of cooperation in the coming years and the organization of the 2nd international conference on Basic, applied science and Technology.
The signing agreement was attended by Prof. Muhammad Madeen; Vice president for resources, Prof. Bambang Sektiari; Vice president for Academic, Student, and Alumni Affairs, Prof. Ni Nyoman Tri; Vice President for Research, Innovation and Community Development, Prof. Mohammed Muftah Suror; Vice President for Internationalization and Information. In addition to the deans and their deputies of Health, Science and Technology, Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Advanced Technology faculties as well as many specialists of international relations at the university. It is worth mentioning that Airlangga University ranks 360th internationally in QS World University Rankings.
HU President also visited Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS). Prof. Mohammad Ashari; President of the university received the delegation. During the visit, a meeting was held to discuss the mechanism of cooperation in the future and to activate the terms of the agreement in research, academic, and student aspects. HU President also toured several faculties, research centers, and scientific laboratories. This meeting was attended by some vices presidents of the university. It is worth mentioning that ITS ranks 5th among Indonesian universities and 701-750 Internationally in the QS World University Rankings.
HU concluded his visit to Indonesia by visiting Syiah Kuala University(USK) in Sumatra Island on Friday June,2. They were received by Prof. Marwan and some vice presidents. A meeting was held to discuss ways to promote joint relations between the two universities, especially in academic, research, and student aspects. Prof. Marwan pointed out that the university is ready to receive the students and professors from Hadhramout University as part of the cooperation between the two universities.
HU delegation was accompanied by Prof. Salem Bin Salman; Assistant vice president for Student Affairs, Prof. Salem Bamasoud; General Director of Scientific Research, Mr. Hussein Baslaib; General Director of the University President’s Office and Dr. Samir Al-Bouri; University Representative.
