Hadhramout University Honors Prof. Hadi Al-Sabban on his Appointment as a Cultural Advisor to the Yemen Embassy in Egypt

Hadhramout University’s presidency honored Prof. Hadi Salem Al-Sabban for his appointment as a cultural advisor to our embassy in the Arab Republic of Egypt at the end of the university council’s session in December. The ceremony was attended by Prof. Abdullah Saleh Babair, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Prof. Salem Mubarak Al-Obathani, Vice President for Student Affairs, Mr. Abdullah Alawi Eidid, the Secretary-General of the University, faculty deans, directors of scientific centers, the head of the faculty union, the head of the staff union, and several officials and employees of the university’s presidency.

 

During the honoring ceremony, the President of the University, Prof. Mohamed Saeed Khanbash, expressed his gratitude and best wishes to Prof. Hadi Al-Sabban in his new role and gaining the trust of the political leadership by being appointed as a cultural advisor to our embassy in Egypt.

 

Prof. Mohamed Saeed Khanbash said in his speech: “As we bid farewell to a colleague from the prominent figures of Hadhramout who worked in this prestigious academic institution, we are proud and honored by this distinguished individual, whose personality enriched with creativity, perseverance, and constant follow-up of our students studying abroad for higher education. It has strengthened our relationships with diplomatic missions abroad and opened broad horizons for scientific relations between our university and regional, Arab, and international universities. As a result, the students of Hadhramout University have achieved advanced positions in scientific and academic contributions in various scientific forums and have participated in several conferences, obtaining prestigious academic degrees from international scientific bodies.”

He added: “On this occasion, we can only pray to Allah to bless his journey with outstanding contributions and significant impact in his new role as a cultural advisor to our embassy in Cairo, Egypt, and to protect him with His care, good health, and success.”

 

Prof. Hadi Salem Al-Sabban expressed his appreciation for the words of the university president and his warm feelings and overflowing emotions at this significant moment in his life. He emphasized the brotherhood bond he shares with the leadership of Hadhramout University, including its members and the staff of the Postgraduate Studies Department. He described them as one family united by a common sentiment, which is the national, regional, Arab, and international status of the university. He added: “I have learned many great lessons in management and organization from my beloved colleagues at this university. It is worth mentioning the great support provided by the university presidency, its guidance, and its directions, which have served as a roadmap towards success and excellence in many of our activities. The most prominent of these achievements is the celebration of the university’s 30th anniversary. The university will always be a pulse flowing in my veins, and these buildings and scenes will remain vivid in my memory. These words and this honor will continue to resonate in my ears as they are words towards my homeland, Yemen, and my hometown, Hadhramout, known for its pride, history, and culture—the land and its people.”
