HU Participates in the Training Program Organized by the Leaders Development Institute, the Arab Universities Union, and Luxor University

Hadhramout University participated in the training program organized by the Leaders Development Institute in collaboration with the Arab Universities Union and Luxor University under the title “Preparing Arab Leaders.” The program was held at the conference center in Luxor City under the slogan “LEADERS 2030.” The university delegation consisted of student Fatima Kalshat, the head of the General Union of Hadhramout University, Muad Al-Kassadi, the head of the University’s Debate Team, and Sarah Badawi, the head of the Fine Arts Club at the university.

The program lasted until February 1st, 2024, with the participation of 200 students from 20 Arab countries in addition to Egyptian universities.

The program was held under the patronage of Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Amr Ezzat Salama, Secretary-General of the Arab Universities Union, Dr. Hamdi Mohammed Hussein, President of Luxor University and Director of the Leaders Development Institute and Dr. Adel Zain, President of the Technological University in Luxor.

Prof. Salem Mubarak Al-Obathani, Vice President of the University for Student Affairs, pointed out that the university is pleased with the participation of its students in this Arab gathering, emphasizing that this event supports the university students in developing the necessary leadership skills to build their personalities. He also mentioned that the self-workshops aimed at developing leadership skills, innovative thinking, and entrepreneurship among Arab youth represent a living model and a qualitative leap in education, as they aim to develop and enhance communities based on scientific foundations and standards. He added that the university, represented by its president, Prof. Mohamed Saeed Khanbash, places raising students’ capabilities, refining their talents, and developing them at the top of the university’s priorities to raise the level of education and improve its regional and international outcomes. The university’s participation in this event confirmed its continuous efforts to qualify research students, entrepreneurs, and activists in various leadership and creative fields, enabling them to positively contribute to achieving sustainable development goals.
