Hadhramout University celebrated the opening of the Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Multipurpose Hall at the Medicine faculty on Monday. Prof. Mohamed Saeed Khanbash, President of the University, remarked on the significance of the hall, highlighting its symbolic representation of strong relations. He added after the opening of the hall by a member of the Presidential Leadership Council, Major General Faraj Saleem Al-Bahsani, that the opening of the hall will contribute to increasing the capacity of the Medicine faculty students and will be an addition to activities, discussions, and scientific conferences.
Major General Faraj Salmeen Al-Bahsani congratulated the university presidency and members of the Medicine Faculty on this great achievement. He commended the project as an embodiment of collaboration and a step towards Hadhramout University becoming a leading center for science and knowledge. He expressed gratitude to the United Arab Emirates for their continued support across various sectors.
In this regard, Dr. Samir Ba-Othman, Dean of the Medicine and Health Sciences Faculty, emphasized the hall’s impact. It will accommodate 600 students and represent an additional expansion that will increase the number of students and hold conferences, symposiums, and scientific workshops. He pointed out that it is considered several halls for different purposes in one name: Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Hall.
