A delegation from the Political Science Department at Hadhramout University visited the Faculty of Law and Political Science at the University of Tunis El-Manar. This visit aims to develop the political science program at Hadhramout University to strengthen academic cooperation and benefit from the experiences and knowledge of the Tunisian university.
During the visit, which was headed by Prof. Mohammed Awadh Barshaid, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at Hadhramout University, Dr. Salah Ali bin Madshal, the Head of the Department of Political Science, Dr. Murad Mohammed Baalawi, a staff member in the department, meetings were held with the President of the University of Tunis El-Manar, Prof. Al-Moez Chafra, who welcomed the delegation and expressed his full readiness to cooperate and facilitate their mission to hold meetings according to a pre-arranged program. A meeting was also held with the Dean of the Faculty of Law and Political Science, Prof. Mustafa bin Latif, who gave an overview of the faculty and the programs it offers.
The Head of the Department of Political Science at the University of Tunis El-Manar gave a detailed presentation on the department’s history, its academic achievements, and its role in providing the state’s institutions with specialized cadres.
In the same context, intensive meetings will be held on Friday and next Monday with the Head and members of the faculty of the Department of Political Science at the University of Tunis El-Manar to discuss the mechanism for developing the political science program at Hadhramout University and to benefit from the accumulated experience of this prestigious university in this field.
It is expected that this visit will contribute to further progress and development of the political science academic program at Hadhramout University opening up horizons for the postgraduate studies program and a branching of the bachelor’s program in the department, and benefit from visiting professors from Tunisian universities. In the end, the two sides exchanged gifts and commemorative shields.
The meeting was attended by the Cultural Attaché of the Republic of Yemen in Tunisia, Dr. Anis Thabit, the Head of the Department of Political Science at the University of Tunis el-Manar, and several professors in the faculty. This visit comes with the support of the Hadhramout Foundation – Human Development, within the framework of the foundation’s support for the department and its efforts to develop it under the generous patronage of the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Hadhramout University and the Chairman of the Founding Council of the Hadhramout Foundation – Human Development, Engineer / Abdullah Ahmed Buqshan, and the supervision of the Executive Director of the Foundation, Engineer / Tariq Ali Belkhasher.
