Hadhramout University witnessed a scientific and research movement in the concluding activities of the Second International Conference on Fundamental, Applied Sciences and Technology at the Hall of Writer Ali Ahmed Bakathir and several other halls in the Hadhramout University Presidency under the slogan (Creativity in Science and Technology Towards a Highly Developed Future). It lasted for two days with the participation of more than 120 scientific research papers.
The conference discussed several axes and research papers in the fields of fundamental, applied sciences and technology, from more than 20 countries around the world in person and via Zoom technology, including about 90 research papers presented by staff members and their assistants from the colleges of Hadhramout University, in addition to several referees for the conference papers.
Prof. Salem Faraj Bamsaud, Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, and the General Chairman of the conference, confirmed that the conference has achieved its desired goals, which are:
- Support Hadhramout University’s strategy in developing the scientific research system to raise its local, regional, and international classification.
- Provide an opportunity for researchers from Hadhramout University to exchange experiences and expertise with their counterparts in the world in natural, applied, and technological sciences.
- Ensure that the capabilities of university affiliates are increased in research and innovation.
- Document and strengthen bridges of research and scientific cooperation between Hadhramout University and international universities.
- Activate agreements related to sound scientific publishing within the Scopus database in terms of quantity and quality.
- Preserve this type of international conference regularly, which began in 2019 in partnership with universities among the top 1000 universities in the world according to QS data.
After the conference, Prof. Mohamed Saeed Khanbash, President of Hadhramout University, and Prof. Salem Faraj Bamsaud, Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, took a commemorative group photo with the participants.
