The First Meeting Between Assiut University and Hadhramout University via Zoom

A virtual meeting was held today via Zoom between Assiut University in Egypt and Hadhramout University in Yemen, coordinated by the Yemeni Cultural Attaché in Cairo, Dr. Hadi Al-Sabban. Dr. Ahmed Abdelmoula, Vice President for Educational and Student Affairs, and Dr. Jamal Badr, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, represented Assiut University. Representing Hadhramout University were Dr. Abdullah Saleh Babair, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Salem Mubarak Al-Obthani, Vice President for Student Affairs, and Dr. Salem Faraj Bamsoud, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research.

 

At the beginning of the meeting, the Cultural Attaché welcomed the representatives of both universities and emphasized the importance of such meetings for the benefit of students, researchers, and staff members at both institutions. He expressed his gratitude to the leadership of both universities for their interest in communication and cooperation in research, academics, and other fields.

The Vice President of Assiut University for Educational and Student Affairs expressed his happiness with this meeting, conveying the greetings of the university president who was keen to hold it. He explained that the university welcomes all Yemeni students. He also mentioned that the

university has many modern and advanced programs that are in demand in the job market.

 

Dr. Jamal Badr, Vice President of Assiut University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, highlighted the university’s ranking among Egyptian universities and its advanced research level, as well as the distinguished level of Yemeni researchers in its various colleges. He emphasized the possibility of cooperation between the two universities in all research and scientific fields, conferences, and scientific seminars.

 

The Vice President of Hadhramout University for Academic Affairs expressed his happiness after this meeting and thanked the Cultural Attaché for this distinguished coordination. He also thanked Assiut University for its continuous response and cooperation with the university and its student researchers at Assiut University and wished for future cooperation between the two universities in all scientific and research fields.

 

Prof. Salem Al-Obthani, Vice President of the university for student affairs, explained that the university is looking forward to benefiting from the scientific and research expertise of Assiut University, which will have a positive impact on the colleges and programs of Hadhramout University, in addition to exchanging visits between the professors of the two universities to enhance the educational process.

 

Prof. Salem Farj, Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, stressed the importance of these meetings, which will benefit scientific research at both universities, as well as the need for the coordination between them in research and scientific fields, exchanging programs and research, conducting joint research, and joint supervision of various research projects, and signing more protocols that will benefit students and researchers at both universities.

 

Prof. Hadi Al-Sabban concluded the meeting by thanking the presidents of both universities for their keenness to hold this meeting, looking forward to this meeting being the beginning of similar meetings between Assiut University and Yemeni universities.
