A workshop entitled “Analyzing Enrollment Indicators in University Faculties and Labor Market Needs” was held at the Student Training Center of the Student Affairs Deputyship at Hadhramout University. The workshop specifically focused on the faculties of Education, Science, Arts, and Women for the academic years 2020-2021 to 2024-2025.

This workshop was generously sponsored by Prof. Mohamed Saeed Khanbash, President of Hadhramout University, and funded by the Benevolence Coalition For Humanitarian Relief.

At the workshop’s inauguration, Prof. Abdullah Saleh Babair, Vice President for Academic Affairs, welcomed the attendees and participants. He mentioned that this workshop came after the participation of several university presidents in a workshop on enrollment indicators in Aden, which discussed programs with high enrollment rates and those with very low enrollment rates, especially in the educational and humanities fields within the faculties of Education, Arts, and Environment. He urged workshop participants to propose solutions and recommendations for this issue, especially given the severe weakness of inputs to university education in the current economic situation and the scarcity of job opportunities for university graduates. He hoped that the workshop would produce results and recommendations that would contribute to finding solutions to the problem of declining enrollment in the aforementioned faculties.

The aim was to discuss these statistics, develop solutions, and make recommendations, wishing everyone success.

The workshop aimed to discuss the reasons for the decline in enrollment in the faculties of Education, Science, Arts, and Women, and to analyze the indicators based on the statistics presented to the participants, in order to contribute to developing proposals to address this problem in the coming period.
